SUMMARY STATEMENT: Responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment by being alert to potential threats through patrols and electronic surveillance, responding to incidents and emergency situations in accordance with the Emergency Preparedness and Management Plan and making informed decisions during preliminary incident response prior to the arrival of the Director of Public Safety or Emergency Management Team designee. Ensure smooth operation of garage entry and exit process and assist guests and staff with parking issues as needed. RESPONSIBILITIES: • 1.5 million visitors each year • 1.2 million square feet of property • 975 car garage capacity on 5 floors • 24 x7 operation which requires working on weekends, holidays & emergency closings • Daily customer contact • 24-30 school buses per day • Monitoring over 100 alarm points • Monitoring 100 surveillance cameras • Conduct preliminary investigations WORK SCHEDULE: This position is full-time, 40 hours/week, Tuesday-Saturday 10:00am-6:00pm. REPORTS TO: Director, Public Safety MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: • Post high school course work, technical degree, associate's degree or business certificate preferred. • More than one year, but less than three years of security experience preferred • Successful completion of CPR/1st Aid certification • Ability to swiftly climb six flights of stairs in under 1 minute; run short distances up to 100 yards; remain standing for long periods of time STARTING SALARY: Non-Exempt (Hourly). $15.00/hour.
