The Wilds Scholar Internship Program is a 10-week intensive training program designed to mentor the professional growth of graduate and undergraduate students. The fall session of the program will be offered from September 2nd, 2013 - November 15th, 2013. This program couples hands-on field training with intern ownership in a project offered through the Wilds. Mentored directly by our research staff, undergraduate interns will be responsible for an independent study in one of three areas of emphasis: Restoration Ecology, Conservation Education, and Field Conservation. Motivated students will have the opportunity to contribute to research in professional venues and written contribution to peer-reviewed literature. As a Wilds Scholar, you will be provided with office space, use of a full laboratory, and computer stations. The program fee for the 10-week internship experience of $1700.00 per intern includes: • Lodging in our on-site cabins • On-site parking • Full access to our research center • Use of radios, CSTC gated entry, on-site security • Pre-internship orientation • Mentoring in an independent research project Interested applicants should contact Joe Greathouse, Director of Conservation Science at jgreathouse@thewilds.org.
