Audubon Zoo in New Orleans is seeking applicants for internships in the Primate section for the fall of 2013. Internships are unpaid positions and require 40 hours a week for a minimum of 12 weeks. This internship will provide practical hands on experience for those interested in the zoo keeping field. Interns will gain valuable experience while working with keeper staff to learn aspects of zoo animal care such as animal husbandry, exhibit maintenance, enrichment, and public presentations. Interns are expected to work in all types of weather and must be able to lift, bend, and stoop. Applicants must also have current proof of a negative TB test.
