The Fort Worth Zoo is now accepting applications for the above-mentioned position. Candidates with domestic and horse experience are encouraged to apply. This position works primarily in the Texas Wild! Farm and Town public contact area with domestic animals, along with small native Texas mammals and reptiles. Keepers are responsible for providing basic animal husbandry, monitoring animal health, maintaining cleanliness of animal areas, and minor exhibit modification. Public interaction includes both formal and informal presentations throughout the day. Position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, good communication and organizational skills, and ability to work well with others in a team environment. Starting salary $12.50/hr.
