Requirements and Competencies
• Must have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or active pursuit of degree if not completed at time of employment
• Must be able to successfully complete provided Educator training and achieve satisfactory ratings on Education tests and evaluations
• Must be able to demonstrate strong verbal communication skills and enthusiastically share passion for the environment with our guests
• Must be able to engage, motivate and interact with children and adults
• Must be able to maintain composure and objectivity in all situations when interacting with internal and external guests
• Must be able to operate independently with minimal supervision
• Must be comfortable talking on a microphone to large crowds of guests
• Must be able to stand and walk for an entire shift
• Must be available to work varying shifts or hours based on park hours; i.e. be able to work opening and closing shifts
Desired Qualifications
• Previous public speaking experience preferred
• Teaching or camp counselor experience preferred
• Theatrical or stage performance experience preferred
• Multilingual a plus
Primary Responsibilities
• Conduct frequent entertaining and informative animal presentations while staffing park attractions and conduct guided tours
• Consistently engage and interact with guests of all ages
• Initiate interaction with guests to proactively provide animal and park information at SeaWorld and Aquatica
• Monitor guest and animal safety
