The Naples Zoo is seeking a knowledgeable, enthusiastic, motivated individual to join our team. This is a full-time position working with small animals, birds and both venomous and non-venomous reptiles. This position will be responsible for providing the highest quality care and husbandry for our collection as well as providing excellent guest service experiences in the form of amphitheatre style presentations as well as gator feedings and talks. Applicants should have a minimum of three years paid animal care experience in a zoological setting, preferable in an AZA accredited facility, with at least one year experience working with venomous reptiles. Applicants must be willing to work flexible hours, have the ability to work outdoors in inclement weather and in a tropical environment and must be able to lift at least 70 pounds. Qualified candidates will have the desire and ability to speak to Naples Zoo guests in a fun and engaging manner. A four-year degree in biology or related field is preferred; however, sufficient relevant experience will be considered in partial fulfillment of education requirement.
