The Art Department at Mote works with the Development & Communications Division and is responsible the conception, design and production of Aquarium exhibits and graphics, Mote Magazine, assorted collateral and advertising, interactive media and the Mote website. The department is also responsible for photography of Research, Aquarium & Education activities for use in web, social media and traditional media.

Web design interns must have experience and working knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and understand SQL and database design. They must also possess knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite.

Graphic Design interns must have experience and knowledge of color theory, composition and typography. Illustration skills are a huge plus, as is a working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.

Photography interns must have experience and knowledge of digital photography and possess a working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and color correction.

All interns must be able to communicate in a professional manner, possess strong written and verbal communications skills, have the ability to oversee projects and complete projects within short deadlines. Must be available occasional weekends. Please be prepared to show samples of work.
