VICE PRESIDENT FOR DEVELOPMENT AND MEMBERSHIP DENVER ZOOThe Mission of Denver Zoo is to secure a better world for animals through human understanding. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic person to provide leadership in advancing our mission through planning and implementing innovative and effective fundraising for operating, capital improvement, and endowment resource needs of the zoo. Denver Zoo is Colorado’s most popular cultural facility serving 1.9 million people each year. We care for a diverse living collection of nearly 4,000 animals representing 700 species and operate both local and global education and conservation programs.The Vice President for Development and Membership is a member of the zoo’s Executive Team who leads all facets of the zoo’s fundraising efforts. The successful candidate will demonstrate a proven record of success in a variety of programs, including major capital campaigns, foundation and government grants, corporate support, planned giving, endowments, annual mail campaigns, and events. Must have a minimum of 7-10 years professional experience in development, at least 3 years management experience, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
