-Assisting with the zoo’s camp program by helping run games, crafts, and other activities.
-Interns will help to create and run new programs.
-Interns will be working with a wide range of children (preschool through high school aged) and up to 20 children at a time.
-Interns will be responsible for creating and running a game or activity during the summer.
-Interns will occasionally be responsible for the class while the instructor is occupied.
Applicants are preferred to have experience working with groups of children of varying ages. This position is great for those interested in a career working with children in a relaxed classroom setting. Interns must be 18 years of age or older. First Aid and CPR training is a plus.
Dates available: Only offered in summer at present. Dates can be flexible.
-Summer: May 27th 2013 – August 30th 2013

-Two letters of reference. If you are a student, one letter must come from a professor.
-A brief interview with Education Staff.
-Applications are due no later than one month prior to the start of the session.
Average hours per week: 24 hours or 3 days per week
