The Bird section of Audubon Zoo is accepting applications for our winter and spring internship program. Internships run a minimum of 12 weeks and are unpaid. This internship will provide practical hands on experience for those interested in the zookeeping field. Interns will work alongside the keeper staff learning animal care, exhibit upkeep, enrichment, record keeping, assisting with veterinary procedures, and public presentations.

Our collection consists of a large number of bird species as well as several mammals. This internship is open to people 18 years old and up, who can work a minimum of 4 days a week (8 hours a day) for a minimum of 12 weeks. Schedules are flexible and more hours may be available if desired. Applicants must be willing and able to work in all weather, lift 75 lbs. and will need a current TB test.
