Maintenance Manager

Position Summary:

Responsible for maintaining all ASDM facilities, mechanical systems and equipment, kitchen equipment, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, vehicles and wastewater systems in good repair and in good working order. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Maintenance Department staff.

Education and/or Experience

A Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university and a minimum of three years' supervisory experience in plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and HVAC or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience implementing preventative maintenance and work order software a plus. Preference will be given to qualified applicants with experience in a zoo (preferably an AZA-accredited facility).

Other Skills & Abilities:

• Valid Arizona Driver’s License

• Knowledge of and ability to apply general maintenance principles, practices and techniques.

• Strong interpersonal, problem solving and communication skills.

• Ability to obtain Wastewater Certification within six months of hire.
