Vice President of Operations

The Florida Aquarium seeks an enthusiastic, self-motivated and customer service focused person to fulfill our senior management position. The Vice President will be responsible for directing and leading the Operations areas (guest services, safety and security, environmental services, engineering and exhibit design) ensuring that our guests are provided with a positive, memorable experience. Responsibilities also include: developing the operations strategic plan to align with organizational goals, providing oversight and management of all physical expansions and providing oversight and guidance to our internal third party vendors. The Vice President of Operations reports directly to the President/CEO.

Minimum qualifications: Eight years’ experience with five years at a senior management level preferably in an aquarium, zoo, theme park or related field; four-year degree in business or hospitality/visitor services related field or equivalent work experience; strong leadership, interpersonal and organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Project management experience preferred.
