Specifically, the Aquarium has an opening for a Membership Manager.

The Membership Manager is responsible for the development and execution of programs designed to acquire new members and to support the current membership base.

We are seeking an experienced candidate with interest in bringing innovative models to our program while maintaining a robust, established base of more than 60,000 households. Working closely with multiple Aquarium departments, the manager implements acquisition, retention and communications programs; establishes goals for each; and identifies appropriate measurement metrics. In addition, the Membership Manager supervises five direct reports, is responsible for meeting annual revenue goals, and is charged with effective management of an expense budget within an acceptable cost percentage.

The qualified candidate will have a bachelor's degree, preferably in Marketing or related field, and five years of experience managing a membership program in a nonprofit organization. Experience managing onsite sales and multichannel campaigns, including online, direct mail and other channels, is required. Demonstrated success implementing new audience engagement strategies is highly desired. Must be able to demonstrate facility with list and database management, and possess strong data and analytical skills. Working knowledge of The Raiser's Edge database is essential; proficiency desired. The Membership Manager reports to the Director of Individual Giving.
