The Good Zoo at Oglebay is inviting applications from college juniors, seniors, or graduate students majoring in animal sciences, biology, zoology, wildlife and fisheries management, or psychology for animal care internship positions.

The Good Zoo at Oglebay is the only Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) -accredited zoological institution in West Virginia, and is home to over 500 animals from nearly 100 species.

Students that participate in this internship program will be exposed to providing daily care and management to zoo animals, animal training and enrichment, veterinary care, raptor rehabilitation, special events planning, public interpretation, observational research, and field research.

These internship positions are 360-hour unpaid internships to provide applicants with valuable experience in a zoological setting. Free housing is available to students residing greater than 50 miles from the Wheeling area until October 1st.
