Essential Job Functions•Position ensures optimal staffing, communication and relationship building with Community Partners that meet the mission and goals of ZNE.•Relationship building with Community Partners•In conjunction with the VP of Outreach, develop a coordinated and strategic plan for supporting existing partnerships and developing new ones•Manage all aspects of the Zoos’ Community Pass Program•Represent Zoos before Community Partners through formal and informal presentations.•Conduct regular evaluation of the Community Partnership program and its efficacy.•Provide weekly updates on activities and progress•Collaborate with Volunteer Department in the oversight for volunteers•Work as a collaborative member of the Outreach Department and the Zoo New England team•Participate on Zoo and Community committees.•Staff special Zoo and community outreach events.•Required to work weekends, evenings, some holidays, special events, and other duties as assigned.•Responsible for providing the highest quality customer service to both internal and external stakeholders•Promotes the Zoo and its missionThis is by no means an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, skills, duties, requirements, efforts, or working conditions associated with the job. Minimum Job Requirements •Bachelor’s degree in liberal arts, sciences or business•1-3 years experience in community outreach•Looking for an enthusiastic and creative individual with community outreach experience, •Outstanding communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.•Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork•Excellent problem-solving abilities a must. •Must be able to establish and maintain strong rapport and positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders•This position generally works one weekend day, however on occasionally two weekend days are required.•Must be able to remain flexible in a fast-paced environment while effectively juggling multiple priorities.•Experience using PC based software programs for word processing and spreadsheets. •Be able to lift up to 50 lbs •Valid driver’s license.•Demonstrated interest in conservation and community involvement required.
