R. Marlin Perkins Award Recipients

The Association established this award in honor of R. Marlin Perkins for members of the AZA who have provided professional excellence during their zoo/aquarium career. No more than one award is presented each year, and only when a deserving candidate is nominated. The recipient must show excellent and unstinting service to AZA; be strongly committed to the causes of education, conservation, scientific investigation, and recreation as part of zoo and aquarium activities; make outstanding contributions to the zoo and aquarium profession and/or its science or technology; and show steadfast resolve in furthering the purposes of AZA and the mission of zoos and aquariums.

Listed below are the recipients of this award. Profiles are available for those recipients who are also past AZA presidents. You can read biographies of all AZA past presidents from 1924 to the present in our Presidents Album.
