Icebreaker at Stax Museum
Monday, March 24, 6:00 - 9:00 pm

From the award-winning introductory documentary film to an authentic 1906 Mississippi Delta church that explains the gospel roots of soul music, Stax Museum of American Soul Music winds and twists through a labyrinth of more than 2,000 interactive exhibits, videos, instruments, items of stage closing, records, and other items that promote and preserve the legacy of Stax Records and other American soul music and their contributions internationally, highlighting musical giants such as Isaac Hayes, Otis Redding, the Staple Singers, the Bar-Kays, Booker T. & the MGs, Johnnie Taylor, Eddie Floyd, Wilson Pickett, Albert King, William Bell, Little Milton, Al Green, Aretha Franklin, Ike & Tina Turner, and hundreds of others.

Transportation will be provided to and from Stax Museum.  Buses will leave from the Sheraton Downtown at approximately 5:45 pm.  One ticket to the Icebreaker is included with a full or 3-day registration (when Monday is selected).  Additional tickets can be purchased for $35 per person.

Zoo Day at the Memphis Zoo
Tuesday, March 25, 2:30 - 8:30 pm

The Memphis Zoo is home to more than 3,500 animals representing over 500 different species. Recently named as one of the top five zoos in the country by TripAdvisor®, the Memphis Zoo has completed over $93 million in renovation and expansion since the early 1990s. The Zoo's animal inhabitants reside in one-of-a-kind exhibitry, such as Once Upon A Farm, Commercial Appeal Cat Country, Primate Canyon, Animals of the Night, Northwest Passage, Teton Trek and CHINA - home to giant pandas YaYa and Le Le. The Zoo was founded in 1906 and resides on 70 acres in the middle of Overton Park.

Transportation will be provided to and from the Memphis Zoo.  Buses will leave from the Sheraton Downtown at approximately 2:15 pm.  One ticket to Zoo Day is included with a full or 3-day registration (when Tuesday is selected).  Additional tickets can be purchased for $35 per person.

Post-Conference Tour of the Nashville Zoo
Friday, March 28, 7:00 am - 8:00 pm

As Music City's number one paid attraction and one of the newest zoos in the country, Nashville Zoo features a variety of beautifully natural habitats along shaded pathways. Come see our highlights including Flamingo Lagoon, Bamboo Trail, Gibbon Islands, Kangaroo Kickabout, The Unseen New World and more. Your day-long adventure offers a full tour of both public and behind-the-scene areas, a private lunch overlooking our three acre African Elephant Savannah and a special visit by some of our animal friends.

Transportation will be provided to and from the Nashville Zoo (approx. 3.5 hours from Memphis).  Buses will leave from the Sheraton Downtown at approximately 7:00 am.  Tour is not included with registration.  Tickets can be purchased for $75 per person.
