Advertising Specifications for Connect MagazineAdvertising in Connect Magazine in now available to nonmembers as well as AZA Institutions, Related Facilities, and Commercial Members. Members receive priority in selecting placement premiums. The following specifications pertain to AZA members. Advertising information for non-members is here. DeadlineContracts and insertion orders are due no later than the 1st of the month preceding the first publication of your ad. Artwork is due the 10th of the month preceding publication (i.e., 1 February for the March issue). Due to the high demand for ad space in July, August and September, we have increased the number of pages in the magazine for those premium issues. Advertisers who do not sign 12-month contracts who wish to advertise in July, August and/or September will be charged an additional $50 for each of those months. For 12-month contract holders, advertising in these issues will be available at no extra charge. Remittance PolicyPayments for all advertising are due within 20 days of the date on the invoice. A finance charge of 1% will be applied to all late payments. Rates are net to AZA. Ad Sizes
Please allow for 1/8 inch all around for any ad that bleeds. Digital Ad Specifications Programs / File FormatQuarkXpress, Adobe Illustrator or Adobe PhotoShop (up to version 9.0). If possible, please convert Mac files to PC-compatible PDF or EPS files. Disk TypesCD-ROM or Zip disk (Mac or PC, 100MB only) All graphics should be submitted as EPS, TIFF or PDF files. High-resolution JPEGs are acceptable if the file is emailed. Word, Powerpoint, and MS Publisher files are not acceptable. Photos must be scanned or shot on a digital camera at a minimum of 300 dpi. Linne art must be at least 600 dpi. Submit all fonts (both screen and printer version) that were used to create your ad in Quark. Illustrator files should have fonts outlined and images embedded. All color ads must be designed in CMYK. RGB colors in the document must be converted to CMYK before submission. PMS spot colors are unacceptable unless converted to process color equivalent.
